How to Refresh Expired Integration Tokens
For security reasons, social media platforms (especially Instagram and Facebook) expire their connection tokens periodically. When this happens, IDEQO loses access to publish content or retrieve analytics until the connection is refreshed.
How to Check Token Status
Section titled “How to Check Token Status”- Navigate to the Integrations page (
/integrations). - Click on the Connected tab.
- Look for any warning indicators:
- Instagram: You will see a “Token expires in X days” warning on the card if the token is within 30 days of expiration.
- Status Indicator: If the status dot on the integration card is gray (instead of green), the connection may be inactive.
How to Refresh a Token
Section titled “How to Refresh a Token”Currently, the most reliable way to refresh a token is to reconnect the account.
- Go to Integrations > Connected.
- Find the integration with the expired token.
- Click the menu button (three dots) and select Disconnect.
- Confirm the disconnection.
- Switch to the Available tab.
- Click Connect on the platform (e.g., Instagram).
- Complete the authorization flow with the provider.
Note: Reconnecting the same account will update the token. Your previously scheduled content and analytics history will be preserved as long as you connect the exact same social profile.
Automatic Refresh
Section titled “Automatic Refresh”IDEQO attempts to automatically refresh tokens in the background for platforms that support it (like X/Twitter). However, if the permission was revoked on the provider’s side or the refresh token itself expired, you must manually reconnect using the steps above.
