Shopify Product Management

Once you’ve connected your Shopify store, you can access powerful tools to manage and promote your products. This guide covers how to sync products, organize them with collections, automate posting, and use caption templates.

Product Sync

Product Sync lets you import products from Shopify and automatically generate AI-powered content for them.

Accessing Products

Go to Products (/ecommerce/shopify/products)
You’ll see your synced products from Shopify

Syncing Products

Products are synced automatically when you connect. To manually refresh:

Click Sync Products on the products page
Or go to Settings > Integrations > Shopify and click Sync Products

Viewing Product Details

Each product card shows:

Product image and name
Price and inventory count
Status (Published/Draft)

AI Content Suggestions

For each product, IDEQO can generate:

Caption suggestions tailored to your brand voice
Hashtag suggestions for better reach
Image ideas for product photography

To use this, click Create Content on any product card.

Shopify Collections

Collections help you organize which products to import and use in your content. You can choose specific collections to keep your workspace focused.

Selecting Collections

Go to Settings > Integrations
Find Shopify and click Settings (gear icon)
Scroll to Product Collections
Check the boxes for collections you want to use (e.g., “Summer Sale”, “New Arrivals”)
Click Save Collections

Only products from selected collections will be available for automation and syncing.

Shopify Automation

Automation rules let you automatically create and schedule posts for your products.

Managing Rules

Go to Settings > Integrations > Shopify (or /ecommerce/shopify/automation) to view your automation rules.

Active: Posts are created automatically on schedule.
Paused: No new posts are created. You can resume anytime.

Product Caption Templates

Caption templates let you create reusable text patterns with dynamic variables. When used, variables like {price} or {product_title} are automatically replaced with real product data.

Creating a Template

Go to Templates > Caption Templates
Click Create Caption Template
Write your caption using variables:

Check out our new {product_title}!
Only {price}.

{product_description}

Shop now: {link}
{hashtags}

Available Variables

{product_title}: Product name
{price}: Price with currency
{product_description}: Description from Shopify
{link}: Link to the product page
{hashtags}: AI-suggested or manual hashtags
{brand_name}: Your brand name

Using Templates

In Automation: Select a template when creating a rule.
Manual Posts: When creating a post from a product, select a template to instantly fill the caption.

Optimize Your Shopify Data

Clear Titles: Helps AI generate better captions.
Good Descriptions: Provides context for content generation.
High-Quality Images: Essential for social media engagement.

Strategy

Use Collections to group products for specific campaigns (e.g., “Holiday Gift Guide”).
Use Automation for consistent “product of the day/week” posts.
Use Templates to ensure all posts include key info like price and link.

Troubleshooting

Products not showing? Check if they are “Active” in Shopify (not Draft).
Images missing? Ensure product images are set in Shopify.
Automation not running? Verify the rule is “Active” and the collection has products.
