Pinterest - Schedule Pins and Rich Pins

Connect Pinterest

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Click Connect Pinterest
3. Log in to your Pinterest account
4. Grant the requested permissions
5. Confirm the connection

ℹ️ Note

Business Account Required: You must have a Pinterest Business account to use the integration. If you have a personal account, you can convert it to a Business account for free in your Pinterest settings.

Configure Default Board

After connecting, you can set a default board for your Pins:

1. In the Pinterest integration settings card, click Load Boards
2. Select your preferred board from the dropdown
3. Click Save Board

This board will be used automatically if you don’t select a specific one when scheduling.

Schedule Pins

1. Go to Create > Social Post
2. Select Pinterest as your platform
3. Upload your image or video
4. Add your Title (max 100 characters) and Description (max 500 characters)
5. Add a Destination Link to drive traffic to your site
6. (Optional) Select a specific board for this Pin. If left blank, your default board will be used.
7. Click Schedule or Publish Now

Image Specs:

• Aspect ratio: 2:3 (1000x1500px ideal)
• Format: JPG, PNG
• Max size: 20MB

Video Specs:

• Max length: 15 minutes
• Format: MP4, MOV
• Max size: 2GB

Rich Pins

Rich Pins show extra information directly on the Pin. IDEQO automatically supports Rich Pins by sending your Destination Link.

To enable Rich Pins:

1. Add Pinterest meta tags to your website pages (Open Graph or Schema.org)
2. Validate your site in Pinterest’s Rich Pins Validator
3. When you schedule a Pin with a destination URL in IDEQO, Pinterest will automatically fetch the metadata and display it as a Rich Pin.

Best Practices

• Pin consistently: Aim for 5-10 Pins per day for maximum growth.
• Use vertical images: The 2:3 aspect ratio takes up the most screen real estate.
• Add text overlays: Make your Pins easy to read at a glance.
• Optimize descriptions: Include relevant keywords to help your Pins appear in search.
• Drive traffic: Always include a Destination Link to your landing pages or articles.
