Use Templates to Ship Faster Without Losing Quality

You’ll discover how to use IDEQO’s template library to create professional, on-brand content in minutes. You’ll also learn how to create custom templates for your recurring content needs.

Time saved: 15-30 minutes per post Best for: Recurring content formats (weekly tips, product launches, testimonials)

Most content creators waste time reinventing the wheel. Every post starts from a blank page. Every caption requires thinking through structure, tone, and CTAs from scratch.

Templates solve this by giving you:

  • Proven structures that drive engagement
  • Your brand voice baked in automatically
  • Faster creation without sacrificing quality
  • Consistency across all your content

IDEQO includes 50+ pre-built templates across categories:

If you create similar content regularly, save it as a custom template.

  • Weekly series (e.g., “Tip Tuesday,” “Feature Friday”)
  • Recurring announcements (e.g., monthly newsletter, product drops)
  • Client content (agencies: create templates per client)
  • Seasonal campaigns (holiday promos, back-to-school content)
  1. Create a post with your ideal structure
  2. Replace specific details with placeholders:
    • Use [brackets] for variable content
    • Example: “[Product Name] is now available”
  3. Save as template:
    • Click Save as Template
    • Name it clearly (e.g., “Weekly Tip - Instagram”)
    • Add tags for easy filtering
  4. Reuse:
    • Next time, load the template and fill in the brackets

Don’t over-customize The point of templates is speed. If you’re rewriting 80% of a template, it’s not saving you time.

Update your Brand Kit first Templates pull from your Brand Kit. Make sure your voice, hashtags, and CTAs are up-to-date there.

Create template sets Group related templates (e.g., “Product Launch Bundle” with post, carousel, blog, email).

Test and refine Track which templates perform best. Refine underperformers or retire them.

Challenge: Create unique content for 10 brands without starting from scratch every time.

Solution:

  • Create custom template sets for each client (5 templates per client)
  • Templates include client-specific Brand Kit (voice, colors, logos)
  • Writers load template, fill in this week’s details, done in 10 minutes

Result: 50 posts per week created in 8 hours instead of 25 hours.

E-Commerce Brand with Weekly Product Drops

Section titled “E-Commerce Brand with Weekly Product Drops”

Challenge: Announce new products every Friday without writing the same structure over and over.

Solution:

  • Custom “Product Drop Friday” template set:
    • Instagram post template
    • Instagram Story template
    • Email template
  • All three use the same structure, just reformatted for each platform

Result: Product launches go from 2 hours to 30 minutes.

Using templates without personalization Templates should be 80% done, not 100%. Add your unique angle, stat, or story.

Ignoring performance data If a template consistently underperforms, don’t keep using it. Test a new structure.

Too many templates Start with 5-10 templates you’ll actually use. More templates = more decision fatigue.
