How to Delete Your IDEQO Account
If you need to delete your IDEQO account, this guide explains what happens to your data, your team, and your content.
How to Delete Your Account
Section titled “How to Delete Your Account”Option 1: Contact Support (Recommended)
Section titled “Option 1: Contact Support (Recommended)”Since account deletion involves complex data cleanup and team management, the safest way is to contact IDEQO support:
- Go to Settings in your IDEQO dashboard
- Click Get Support or visit ideqo.com/contact
- Request account deletion
- Provide your account email address
- Support will guide you through the process
Option 2: Account Settings (If Available)
Section titled “Option 2: Account Settings (If Available)”If account deletion is available in your settings:
- Go to Settings > Account (or Profile > Security tab)
- Scroll to the Delete Account section
- Click Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
- Enter your password to verify
- Click Confirm Deletion
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Section titled “What Happens When You Delete Your Account”The deletion process depends on your account type and team membership:
Regular User (No Team Membership)
Section titled “Regular User (No Team Membership)”If you’re not part of any team:
- All your data is permanently deleted (hard delete)
- Your profile, content, ideas, and media are removed
- Your integrations are disconnected
- Your account cannot be recovered
Team Owner (Single-Owner Team)
Section titled “Team Owner (Single-Owner Team)”If you own a team and you’re the only member:
- The entire team is deleted
- All team data, content, and memberships are removed
- All team members lose access
- This action affects everyone in the team
Team Owner (Multiple Members)
Section titled “Team Owner (Multiple Members)”If you own a team with other members:
- You cannot delete your account until you transfer ownership
- You must either:
- Transfer team ownership to another member, or
- Remove all other members first, then delete the team
Team Member
Section titled “Team Member”If you’re a member (not owner) of a team:
- Your account is deactivated (soft delete)
- Your personal data is removed
- Team data and content remain intact
- Other team members are not affected
What Data Gets Deleted
Section titled “What Data Gets Deleted”When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
Content & Media
Section titled “Content & Media”- All blog posts and drafts
- All social media posts and drafts
- All ideas and content ideas
- All media files (images, videos, documents)
- All design projects and templates
- All comments and interactions
Account Information
Section titled “Account Information”- Your profile information
- Your brand kits and brand assets
- Your brand voice settings
- Your preferences and settings
Integrations & Connections
Section titled “Integrations & Connections”- All connected social media accounts
- All integration settings and tokens
- All scheduled posts and publishing queue items
- All analytics data associated with your account
Team Data (If Applicable)
Section titled “Team Data (If Applicable)”- Your team memberships
- Your team role and permissions
- Team content (if you’re the only owner)
Storage Files
Section titled “Storage Files”- All files uploaded to IDEQO storage
- All generated images and media
- All exported content files
Data Retention & Recovery
Section titled “Data Retention & Recovery”Can I Recover My Account?
Section titled “Can I Recover My Account?”No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted:
- You cannot log in
- Your data cannot be recovered
- You’ll need to create a new account if you want to use IDEQO again
How Long Until Data Is Deleted?
Section titled “How Long Until Data Is Deleted?”- Immediate: Your account access is revoked immediately
- Within 24 hours: Most data is deleted from active databases
- Within 30 days: All data is permanently removed from backups and archives
What Data Might Be Retained?
Section titled “What Data Might Be Retained?”For legal and compliance reasons, IDEQO may retain certain information:
- Audit logs: Records of account deletion for compliance
- Billing records: Payment and subscription history (as required by law)
- Legal records: Information required for legal proceedings or investigations
This retained data is minimal and used only for legal compliance, not for marketing or other purposes.
Before You Delete Your Account
Section titled “Before You Delete Your Account”Export Your Data
Section titled “Export Your Data”Before deleting, consider exporting:
- Your content (blog posts, social posts)
- Your analytics data
- Your brand assets and media files
- Your team information (if applicable)
Cancel Active Subscriptions
Section titled “Cancel Active Subscriptions”If you have an active subscription:
- Cancel your subscription first
- Wait for the billing period to end
- Then delete your account
This ensures you’re not charged after deletion.
Transfer Team Ownership
Section titled “Transfer Team Ownership”If you own a team:
- Go to Settings > Team
- Transfer ownership to another member
- Or remove all members first
- Then proceed with account deletion
Disconnect Integrations
Section titled “Disconnect Integrations”Before deletion, you may want to:
- Disconnect social media accounts
- Remove API keys and tokens
- Cancel any scheduled posts
Special Scenarios
Section titled “Special Scenarios”Multiple Team Memberships
Section titled “Multiple Team Memberships”If you’re a member of multiple teams:
- You must leave all teams first
- Or contact team owners to remove you
- Then you can delete your account
Pending Payments or Invoices
Section titled “Pending Payments or Invoices”If you have pending payments:
- Resolve all billing issues first
- Contact support if needed
- Then proceed with deletion
Active Subscriptions
Section titled “Active Subscriptions”If you have an active subscription:
- Cancel the subscription
- Wait for the billing period to end
- Then delete your account

Section titled “GDPR & Privacy Rights”IDEQO complies with GDPR and other privacy regulations. Account deletion is part of your “right to be forgotten.”

- Request data export before deletion
- Understand what data is deleted
- Know what data might be retained (and why)

- Delete all personal data as required
- Maintain audit trails for compliance
- Notify you of any data retention requirements
Frequently Asked Questions
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”Can I temporarily deactivate my account instead?
Section titled “Can I temporarily deactivate my account instead?”IDEQO doesn’t currently offer account deactivation. If you need a break, you can:
- Cancel your subscription
- Disconnect integrations
- Leave teams
- Simply stop using the account
You can always come back and reactivate later.
What if I change my mind after deletion?
Section titled “What if I change my mind after deletion?”Account deletion is permanent. If you want to use IDEQO again, you’ll need to create a new account.
Will deleting my account cancel my subscription?
Section titled “Will deleting my account cancel my subscription?”Account deletion will eventually cancel your subscription, but it’s better to cancel it first to avoid any billing issues.
What happens to content I’ve already published?
Section titled “What happens to content I’ve already published?”Published content on social media platforms remains on those platforms. IDEQO only deletes:
- Content stored in IDEQO
- Scheduled posts that haven’t published yet
- Drafts and unpublished content
Can I delete my account if I have an active subscription?
Section titled “Can I delete my account if I have an active subscription?”Yes, but it’s recommended to cancel your subscription first to avoid billing issues.
What if I’m the only owner of a team?
Section titled “What if I’m the only owner of a team?”If you’re the only owner, deleting your account will delete the entire team and all team data. Make sure all team members are aware of this.
