Shopify Connect - Auto-Pull Products Into Content Ideas

Connect your Shopify store to IDEQO to manage product content and create posts directly from your catalog.

Why Connect Shopify

Before You Start

Requirements:

  • Active Shopify store
  • Admin access to your Shopify account
  • An IDEQO account (Free plan includes 1 integration)

Connect Shopify to IDEQO

To connect your Shopify store, you must install the IDEQO app from the Shopify App Store.

  1. Go to the IDEQO listing on the Shopify App Store
  2. Click Install
  3. Select your Shopify store (if you have multiple)
  4. Approve the permissions to allow IDEQO to sync products
  5. You will be redirected back to IDEQO to complete the setup

Alternatively, you can start from IDEQO:

  1. Click Integrations in the left sidebar
  2. Find Shopify in the list and click Connect
  3. Click Connect Store to be redirected to the Shopify App Store
  4. Follow the installation steps above

Sync Products and Collections

Once connected, your products will sync automatically. To manage settings:

  1. Go to Integrations > Shopify > Settings
  2. Click Sync Products to manually refresh your catalog
  3. In the Product Collections section, select which collections you want to import
  4. Click Save Collections

Create Posts from Products

You can create social posts directly from your synced products:

  1. Click Products in the left sidebar
  2. Browse or filter your products list
  3. Click the Create Content button (magic wand icon) on any product card
  4. This opens the Content Editor with product details pre-filled
  5. Customize your caption and image, then schedule or publish

Automation

Section titled “Automation”

IDEQO can automatically generate and schedule social posts from your Shopify products on a recurring schedule.

  1. Go to Automations in the left sidebar (or navigate to /automations)
  2. Click New Automation
  3. Select Product Posts as your content type. You’ll need a connected Shopify store for this step.
  4. Configure your caption settings, Brand Voice, and publishing schedule
  5. Choose whether posts are auto-published or sent to a draft queue for review
  6. Activate the automation

Once active, IDEQO generates and queues product posts on your schedule. You can pause, edit, or delete any automation from the Automations page.
